Week Without Violence Monday, October 19th at 3pm EST is a virtual conference for Ending Violence Against All Women. Join YWCA-MC in a week without violence by educating yourselves through our various events this week.
Domestic violence, gender-based violence, and intimate partner violence occurs irrespective of socioeconomic status, ethnicity, race, or religious affiliation. Although no two cases are the same, our experience has shown that abusers exert power and control over their intimate partner, such as physical violence, isolation of the victim, financial and economic abuse, emotional abuse, intimidation, coercion, and threats. For some survivors who identify as women of color, leaving an abusive relationship is often heightened due to existing cultural barriers, making them less likely to seek help and resources to free themselves from their abusers.
In this Week Without Violence Monday webinar, attendees will hear from leaders of organizations who are working to eliminate violence against ALL women and their communities by providing facts and stats, debunking myths, and providing resources to help survivors thrive.
