What is Monterey County Gives!? MCGives! is an annual year-end campaign inspiring giving and philanthropy to over 160 local nonprofits. This campaign is made possible by the Monterey County Weekly, two local foundations the Monterey Peninsula Foundation, Community Foundation for Monterey County, and by generous supporters like you! Over the years, MC Gives! has grown to be the YWCA Monterey County’s largest and most prestigious giving campaign. Funds donated from our supporters are matched by CFMC and MPF. The matching component of MC Gives! is truly unique, maximizing donations and participation within our community.
Through Monterey County Gives! matching funds, YWCA Monterey County benefits greatly.
As a non-profit, the YWCA Monterey County relies on many different income streams to sustain and grow its mission to empower women and end racism. The generosity of friends and strangers who give selflessly to enable us to cover costs not already covered by government funding, allows us to make sure that we serve even more women and children each and every day of the year. By supporting MC Gives, you ensure that we will continue to house our most vulnerable families, feed those facing food insecurity and protect women and children from further violence in the home. On behalf of all of them I offer my sincere gratitude.
