Legal Advocacy

YWCA MC Legal Advocacy provides immediate and long-term safety for survivors of domestic violence by assisting with family law matters such as:

programs

  • Restraining Orders
  • Cease and Desist letters,
  • Divorce Orders
  • Child Custody Agreements

Court accompaniment with a legal advocate is provided for survivors who need restraining orders, guidance and advocacy through the legal system.

Assistance is provided at no cost by appointment. Appointments are available in our Salinas and Monterey locations and can be made by calling our administrative office in Salinas at: +1-831-422-8602 Individuals’ immigration status will never be questioned during the process of preparing legal documents or at any court hearings, se habla Espanol.
